Testimonial de Barry Mass Lamin

Before getting in touch with Youth & Work, my situation was quite difficult. I struggled with the process for my DAP (Diplôme d'Aptitude Professionnelle) and didn’t know how to navigate it. I felt overwhelmed and uncertain about how to move forward, which made it hard for me to focus on my goals.

The support from my coach, Ms. Ariane Toepfer, was incredibly valuable. She guided me through the DAP process, explaining everything clearly and making sure I understood what I needed to do. She also helped me improve my French in a very short time, which was one of my biggest weaknesses. From June to September, I progressed from A2 to B2. I learned how to stay organized, meet deadlines, and tackle challenges with confidence.

The encouragement and practical advice I received made a huge difference. Today, I am in a much better place. I successfully completed the DAP process and feel more confident about my future. Now, I am focusing on pursuing my career goals and making the most of the opportunities available to me. Through my temporary work, I found an apprenticeship employer, and I am now doing my DAP as an electrician.

To young people in a similar situation, I would say: Don't hesitate to ask for help. Programs like Youth & Work are there to support you, but you need to stay committed and trust the process. Believe in yourself and remember that every small step brings you closer to your goals.
